Rob MacSorley joins Pound-Maker with over 37 years in the ethanol industry.  Rob graduated high school in 1984 after winning a long battle with leukemia.  Deciding to forgo further education and jump into industry, Rob was placed at Mohawk Oil in Burnaby, BC as a Fuel Sales Clerk through a government assisted employment program in 1985 which kicked off his career in the ethanol business.  Rob had been at Mohawk Oil for 14 years before transferring to Calgary with Husky Energy.

In 1990, after Pound-Maker's completion of their ethanol plant, Rob's responsibility shifted to include moving Pound-Maker's ethanol supply to eight Mohawk terminals in Western Canada.  Rob was part of the transition team when Husky Energy bought Mohawk Oil and later survived the Cenovus Energy takeover of Husky Energy due to his resilience, adaptability, and exptertise in ethanol supply and logistics.  His previous positions as Senior Ethanol Adivsor included overseeing all the supply and logistics for two Cenovus ethanol plants and two independent Saskatchewan ethanol plants, one of which being Pound-Maker, totalling an average annual volume of 325 million litres of ethanol moved per year.  With Rob's long history in the ethanol industry and his familiarity with Pound-Maker he will be a valuable asset to our business marketing the supply and compliance of our ethanol business, maximizing returns, and lowering the carbon index, reducing Pound-Maker's carbon foot print.

Rob lives with his family in Calgary, AB with one son Wyatt and his wife Annabel of 32 years, as well as their two small dogs.  In his free time he enjoys going for drives with his car clubs, unwinding with the latest sitcom, or going for walks with his wife and dogs.
